It was my birthday. Usually, I do not make any special treat for myself on my birthday, because I have nothing much and nothing special to celebrate. Moreover, I don’t have some special ones to celebrate with. Aye. It has been for a decade and eight years.
However, I had one in this nineteenth year; in fact, this is the most memorable birthday I ever had. I was moved and touched.
How did I celebrate? Nah... I did not actually celebrate it. It was my brother, who celebrated for me with some of his friends and as of his friends; they are my friends too, because I knew them too!
I was called by Pn. Ung Lee Yee that she was very upset and angry with me because I had done something wrong. Argh! I have no idea what I did on that day that can upset her so much and so greatly. I was shocked, because the things I do for her are perfectly nice and neat every time, I just did not expect what could have went wrong today!
When I stepped in to the counseling room, she told me that there was a teacher claimed that I missed his class and he was very angry with I always get out of the class. At that very moment, I could think of nothing but I have done nothing wrong, because all I do is just get out of the class during free periods. There could have been nothing wrong all the time, how could this time go wrong? My brother and his friends were in that room too, but initially I did not go bother them because I have too many things to worry about before my brother. I was asked to enter the smaller room as the teacher was waiting for me in there. I went in to the room and saw no one. Suddenly, I saw a cake on a stool which was for ME! And that moment, my brother and his friends started singing the birthday song for me! Wow! I was totally surprised!
Hmm... All the best I had throughout my years. Thank you Jie.
P/S Thank you Jie and I am going to get you because you and Pn. Ung together tricked me... Hehehe... Loving you always.

United Nation Cuisine of U6F3! Yeah!
Today was the Sixth Form Society cooking competition, my class, U6F3 came to the school very early and unluckily, the organizing committees have not set up the cooking site for the contestants yet!
Two teams for each class, a male team and a female team which pair up 3 students per team respectively. We have one back-up contestant for each group. The male team consisting Choon Siang, David, Wei Terng and Yew Keong, whereas the female team consisting Yin Theng, Chin Yen, Yee Wei and I (Duh~ because we just have three girls in U6F3, so I have to participate, as I am the only guy who are interested in cooking – I am not talking about the male team guys, other than them, I am the fourth one who cook!)
We have a cuisine theme of United Nation, because what we cook is from all around the world. We have the most common dish in which every housewife will cook in their households. We have Japanese pancake! We have an English cocktail! We have what we have, and I cannot tell in English because the dishes are named in Chinese... So, it is very difficult for me to translate. Just hope you will like it when you look at the photo that we took after we have completed our dishes in one and a half hour.
Although that we did not win, but we were still enjoying the process of cooking and the spirit of teamwork!

Are your eyes spinning?
For an explanatory hypothesis, view the animation on the right. You may wish to press the ‘Stop’ button after a while … it gets on one’s nerves ;-). See also Backus & Oruc 2004 for their explanation.
Even when fixating steadily, illusory motion occurs on appearance/ disappearance
Illusion does not depend on colour
Rotation direction depends on the polarity of the luminance steps (I arranged these to evoke a “gearbox effect” here, by mirroring the images appropriately)
Strength of illusion depends strongly on background luminance. The background luminance slowly ramps from 0% to 100% automatically, or you can use the slider. The illusionary rotation is strongest for 50% gray (exact value will depend on your monitor ‘gamma’).
As Kitaoka & Ashida (2003) describe, asymmetric luminance steps are required. Presumably appearance of these triggers motion detectors (as in the animation on the right). I assume that the actual mechanism is quite similar to the “Rotating Spokes” illusion, where asymmetric luminance steps occur as well. Gregory & Heard (1983) were the first to describe that asymmetric luminance steps cause illusory movement.

MORON!
They are the unwanted guests in special occasion.
They have the unwanted hands on your food.
They have the insincere attitude.
Stupidity is their profession.
Talking loudly is what they do best.
What else could have they done to you? Many to say... All in all, I hate MORON twice as much as I hate cockroaches.

Rayceer's workshop
I attended her workshop on that very Tuesday, 14th April 2008 after my school session ended at 1.30 p.m., because my brother was attending the workshop as a facilitator and he was staying back until 5.30 p.m., which only the workshop ended. So, I just stayed back to guard on him actually. Hehe... Aye... I am a guardian angel... just like Estee.
My very first impression for Rayceer was, oh my god... She said, “Wow! You are a make-up artist”. I did not take part in any activity; I just blended in to be a photographer and a very-first-spotted male make-up artist for the PSYCHODRAMA which the Form 3 boys were having for their activity after lunch.
The process was on and off in between, so, I just cut to the chase. I added Rayceer in Friendster and sent a comment for her (actually, that was a very first comment for her too!) Yay! I am the first one who sent her comment! I reminded her that I am the make-up artist that she acknowledged on Tuesday, because I scared that Rayceer won’t be able to know who am I by just viewing my Friendster profile.
And on yesterday, which is 17th April 2008, Thursday, we have her in a Form 6 motivation workshop. Ahh! When she first saw me, she said, “Oh! You are the make-up artist, aren’t you? Your Friendster primary photo is very nice oh! And your photo look very nice too!”
Wow! I was surprised to hear that! That was very nice too, to have her compliments on my Friendster. I have introduced her to this blog too.
If you have a chance to see her, do convince yourself to step into her workshop or seminar and learn from her and her assistant, Estee too! Both of them are great!
Rayceer talks a lot, so it is best to learn from people who talk a lot... Haha...
P/S Sorry Estee! I do not have your photo! Please send me one copy if you read this blog, because want to put your photo together with my post mah~ and want to advertise you in my blog mah~ Hehehe...

A Star Student
We are very proud to invite Rayceer Kim Goh to our school to train our Forms 3, 4 and 5 students. She moulds students to become A Star students. She had her PhD in Psychology and she trains students in her workshops all over the world. She is traveling country over country to search for schools and students and to train them. She has been to Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong and many more.
She, too has been on aired in TV2, 8TV and AiFm to talk about youth’s problems. She is one of the top ‘famous-mouths’ in Asia. She is renowned for her ability to persuade, ability to talk and you may want to know more. So, you have to keep reading my blog. I will be posting her programmes in Penang as well as in other countries; I will be posting the fliers and advertisements about Rayceer Kim Goh.
Back to the topic, she is coming to Chung Ling High School for a three-day-training workshop. She is giving training for our students as well as my counseling members.
We are again, very proud to have her in the school on 15th, 16th, and 17th of April. I will be thrilled to see her again. Aye. I attended her “Parenting” workshop in year 2007. Undoubtedly, she is great, awesome and fantastic. I will be attending her training workshop as a facilitator; however, my brother will be participating as a fasilitator too in her workshop. So, see you Rayceer Kim Goh!

My Birthday Boy ღ You Always
Yes. It has been great for the days. As I wish to mention here, it was my brother’s birthday, 11th of April. Grown up one more year, wiser. There is nothing I can give more than he had now; he has received presents from friends; wishes from friends.
Who do you think of when your birthday comes? For some people, they think of their friends; for some, they think of their siblings; for some, they think of their families; for some, they wish they could have a single thought in their minds, for them, it is the day they wish not to mention. Perhaps, for them, there is no one they can think of, and they just equally let it go.
Happy birthday boy. A sincere word costs more than priceless. I will love you, always.

TeoChew Ban and Hee Pheh Kah
Do you like Teo Chew Opera? Do you understand what they are talking about? Aha! Obviously, you don’t.
I attended the birthday of a god, which we used to call ‘Xuan Tian Shang Di’ on Friday. Before we have our dinner course, they performed the Teo Chew Opera. It was great.
The outfit they wore, so elegant, the robe they wore in which the Emperor wore thousand years back. They have the swords; the horses made of fabric, the most astoundingly make-up and others which I do not know how to describe. Sorry for this!
Hee Pheh Kah which means the stage below the acting stage of the Teo Chew Opera and the changing cum make-up space on the stage. You can see many hanging little bed below the stage. The actors and actress of the opera sleep there! Can you imagine?
I cannot elaborate more than I can think of... because I just do not know how to. I just hope you like the video of Teo Chew Pan.

Lessons Learned
But then, the winds came and changed everything.
And not just the houses in the lawn, the people had changed too.
While the storm had raged, each of them had learned something... about friendship, and forgiveness, and redemption, and some... had learned the hardest lesson of all... that life is... always fragile, and very often... unfair.

Good friends & Gossips
There is a time of a day all housewives look forward to.
It occurs after the chores have been completed, and right before the children come home from school.
It’s a time for good friends to get together, have a cup of coffee, and exchange gossips about the other good friend who couldn't make it that day.

You Get So Few of Them
Lynette Scavo had a dream that night.
It was one she had many times before.
“Hey, Mary Alice, are you okay?”
“Yes. Thank you. I’m fine.”
“Okay. I’ll see you later.”
But, this night, something changed.
“No, you’re not. I can tell... Please, tell me, what’s wrong. Let me save you.”
“You can’t.”
“Why not?”
“Sweetie, We cannot prevent what we cannot predict.”
“Isn’t there anything I can do?”
“Yes. Yes. You enjoy this beautiful day. We get so few of them.”

Pilot #101 (Season 1 Episode 1)
Labels: Everything else, Life debris, My broadway show
WHAT do you WANT more than a PRIZE?
Ah?! I think you would probably say, err... the students are going to get a lecture by him. Students are going to get scolded by him? Or even worse... he will get out of the class and teach no more... Are these you can figure? Ah ha! I guess you are wrong if you guess these!
Mr. Ang Soo Beng is just like an angel with no anger! He is so nice and great! He will not scold his students... I wonder why?? He will not get mad either. Wow! He is so nice until no one can compare with him. But... but... what students will get when they are talking whilst he is teaching, is getting urges by him... What urges per se? It is simply ‘OI’!
Here’s an example. I have illustrated what he would have done to the students who talk in his class in the figure above... Lee Chong and friends always get that!! So, what do you want more than being “OI” by Mr. Ang Soo Beng?

About Me
- Jensen Ong Macus
- Hollywood, Long Beach, United States
- Who? Who is but the form following the function of what and what I am is a man in a mask. But on this most auspicious of nights, permit me then, in lieu of the more commonplace sobriquet, to suggest the character of this dramatis persona. So let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me M, aka Jensen. Photography is my passion. Diving is my passion, my temptation. Do anything, everything with the heart, and the best will follow.
