Daniel Radcliffe Thrilleds The Crowd

Fans were lining up to see Daniel Radcliffe make his Broadway debut last night in “Equus” at the Broadhurst Theater in New York. Not only has Daniel, 19, been brushing up on his acting skills, but also he’s clearly been spending more time getting his body in shape for the part.

“There’s a lot of sweat on me by the end of the show and I’m a physically repellent thing. At least it’s good exercise. I don’t have to go to the gym,” he told USA Today.

In the show, Daniel plays the role of Alan Strang, a troubled teenager who falls in love with horses while undergoing equine therapy.

Scholarship In Memory Of Heath Ledger

There’s a new scholarship that’s been put in place for emerging Australian actors which will honor the memory of Heath Ledger. The Australians in Film Heath Ledger Scholarship will award recipients up to $10,000, and round-trip airfare from Australia, to pursue a career in the United States.

Ledger was an Ambassador for AIF before his death in January. Current ambassadors include Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman and Naomi Watts.

A friend of Heath’s Gregor Jordan is a part of the scholarship’s five-member judging panel, and says, “Broke Aussie actors in LA form a tradition that goes all the way back to Errol Flynn. Heath was definitely part of that tradition and this scholarship is something he would have been proud to have his name associated with.”

Heath’s father Kim echoes his statement, saying, “We as a family are pleased with the establishment and progress of the AIF scholarship award named in honor of our much loved and generous son, Heath. As a result of this scholarship, a talented Australian actor will gain valuable assistance to support their personal goals, and an opportunity for recognition in the very tough US film industry.”

Plans for the scholarship were first announced in June at AIF’s 2008 Breakthrough Awards. The selected actor must be over 18 and be in the early stages of his or her career. Applications are available online and will be accepted from Oct. 1 to Nov. 28, with the first beneficiary to be announced by mid-February.

Only one catch. You gotta be an Aussie.

Headline Of The Week Weak

"Man Sues Doctors After Penis Amputated"

And he claims they did it without consent - Ouch!
A Kentucky man and his wife said two doctors amputated the man's penis without his consent, and have filed a lawsuit.
According to the lawsuit, Philip Seaton, 61, went to have a circumcision last Octoberas part of treatment for a medical condition. Seaton said when he woke up from the procedure, he realized his penis had been amputated.
Seaton has suffered mental anguish, pain, and has lost the enjoyment of life, according to the lawsuit.
The lawsuit was filed in Shelby County court last week against Dr. John Patterson, who performed the procedure, Dr. Oliver James, who administered anesthesia, and Commonwealth Urology, PSC.
The lawsuit states that Patterson received consent to perform a circumcision and only a circumcision, and that Seaton did not consent to his penis being removed.
Kevin George, the plaintiff's attorney, said Patterson amputated the organ after finding cancer, but he only had consent to remove the foreskin.
"Sometimes you have an emergency and you have to do this, but he could very easily closed him up and said, 'Here are your options. You have cancer,' and the family would have said, 'We want a second opinion. This is a big deal,'" George said.
The lawsuit also claims the plaintiff did not consent to general anesthesia.
WLKY attempted to contact the doctors, but have not been able to reach them.

The Seatons are seeking punitive damages against both doctors and the medical practice. Attorneys for the defendants will now have a chance to respond to the suit.

Gossip Girl's Odd Couple. Isn't it Filthy?

Those rumors are true - Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford are a very odd couple.
Gay or not. But the co-starring Gossip Girl roomies definitely have an Odd Couple vibe going.
Chace Crawford is more than filthy - his slobbosity is off the charts, according to a spy.

“His apartment was a disgusting pigsty. There was crusty toothpaste and self-tanner all over the bathroom,” the late-night guest revealed to the NY Daily News.

“In the rest of the apartment, beer bottles and boxers just laying around.”

But there was an oasis of cleanliness in this vast desert of disarray - roomie Ed Westwick’s space.

Ed’s room was pristine,” the spy divulged. “Everything in it was perfectly in order.”

Justin's Wild Night With Leonardo DiCaprio

While Jessica Biel was moving boxes of her stuff into boyfriend Justin Timberlake’s Hollywood home, he was across the country partying with now single Leonardo DiCaprio and four hot women.

Justin, Leo and the ladies had a fun night dancing and playing beer pong at the singer’s New York City restaurant, Southern Hospitality.

Justin definitely didn’t have Jessica on his mind that night,” says an insider.

From 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., Justin flirted, laughed, and ignored the many calls he received on his cell phone.

“He looked like he was having too good a time to be bothered.”

Leo, meanwhile, is definitely enjoying his single life.

Leo is 33. Justin is 27.
